Description
Town of Evening Calm, Country of Cherry Blossoms is a one-volume manga written by Fumiyo Kōno. It tells the story of a family of survivors of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, with the author basing the characters on real people from Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The manga was published in Weekly Manga Action in 2003 and 2004, and later collected into a single tankōbon volume in 2004. It was also adapted into a live-action film called Yunagi City, Sakura Country in 2007.
