Description
Gaba Kawa is a manga by Rie Takada about a demon girl named Rara who comes to the human world to cause mischief but falls in love with a human boy. It has been licensed for an English language release in North America. The story follows Rara and Bibi, two young demons who come to the human world to become full-fledged demons and win the heart of the legendary demon Hiroshi Akusawa. Rara mistakenly believes her classmate Retsu Aku is Akusawa and falls in love with him, but later learns he is just a normal human. As the series progresses, Rara uses her powers to protect Retsu from ghosts and other demons. She eventually decides to enjoy whatever time she has left with him, even though her powers are fading. Bibi, Rara's rival, tries to kill Retsu but fails, and Rara sacrifices the last of her powers to take away his ability to see ghosts. She disappears, but Retsu promises to find her. The story ends with Retsu in a hospital, waking up next to a girl named Sara, whom he claims to be his girlfriend.
