Description
Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor is a Japanese light novel series written by Tarō Hitsuji and illustrated by Kurone Mishima. It follows the story of Sistine Fibel and her best friend Rumia Tingel, who are students at a prestigious magical academy. Sistine hopes to unravel the secrets of the mysterious Sky Castle, but when her favorite instructor retires, his replacement Glenn Radars proves to be lazy and incompetent. However, they soon discover that Glenn is hiding his true powers and has a remorseful past as a former assassin from the Imperial Court Mage Corps. Throughout the series, topics such as depression, friendship, family relationships, adoption, and following one's dreams are explored. The series has been licensed for an English release and was adapted into an anime television series that aired from April to June 2017.
